The cases had been placed on stay-home notices upon arrival in Singapore, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in a press release.
Among the eight imported cases, three are Singapore permanent residents who returned from India, Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.
Another four are currently employed in Singapore. Of these, two are work pass holders who arrived from South Korea and the Philippines and the other two are work permit holders who arrived from Indonesia.
The remaining case is a long-term visit pass holder who arrived from India.
Five of the eight were asymptomatic.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore now stands at 58,064.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with one case in the past week who is currently unlinked, MOH said.
Six more people have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities, bringing the total who have recovered to 57,981.
There are currently 34 patients who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit.
Another 21 people with mild symptoms, or who are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19, are isolated at community facilities.
Twenty-eight people have died from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
